Grande Anse Beach

With one of the longest and widest bays on Mahé and almost endless crashing surf, Grande Anse is a sight to behold. It’s a reasonable-sized village at the bottom of La Misére, the fastest road to cross from the west to east coast, but due to the strong waves, the beach is mostly deserted. It’s definitely unsuitable for swimming but you may see some brave surfers tackling the large waves.

The Anatara Maia Resort and the Constance Ephelia are just 9km far from Grand Anse beach.
