The Baie Lazare Beach is a once-in-a-lifetime experience

Make your way to Seychelles this year if you want to see that beauty for yourself, feel the magic, and keep that memory for a lifetime. This 115-island archipelago has a lot to offer in terms of beach vacations. The Baie Lazare is one of Seychelles’ most popular beaches. Continue reading to learn more about the beach.

The moon-shaped, palm-fringed bay of Baie Lazare is one of Seychelles’ cleanest, unspoiled, less crowded, and kid-friendly beaches. The beach’s modest waters make it suitable for children. You’ll be astonished to learn that you can walk a great distance inside the water without getting too wet. All of this makes it an excellent swimming spot. Snorkeling and windsurfing are just a few of the activities available.

Baie Lazare Beach is located near a coral-covered lagoon. Snorkeling here will allow you to see the beauty of corals. Snorkeling is possible even for first-timers because the water is not shallow. It’s a fantastic location for photoshoots because of the beautiful bright colors of the sand and sea, as well as the stunning granite structure as a backdrop. There’s plenty of shade here to keep you cool in the hot sun. All of these factors combine to make this beach an excellent picnic place.

Baie Lazare is named after Lazare Picault, a French adventurer who discovered Mahe while exploring entire Seychelles. He is thought to have arrived first. According to certain traditions, the inhabitants recovered pirate spoils on this island. These artifacts are now housed in a museum.

How do you get to Baie Lazare?

Baie Lazare is located in the western part of  Mahe, just following the coastal road.  It’s extremely simple and straightforward to get here. It’s as simple as taking the bus or hailing a taxi. You have the option of driving all the way to the beach if you have rented your own car. There are parking lots on the roadside, making it convenient and easy to get to from any place.

Is Baie Lazare good for snorkelling?

Start exploring the right-hand side of the bay,  at the large rocks. This is the easiest to get to, the safest, and one of the most exciting places to see underwater life. Enter the ocean from the sandy beach directly across from the parking lot, near the granite rocks. Here you can discover parrotfish, sergeant fish, angelfish, butterflyfish, rays, and other species.
