Our Expert’s Highlights
Welcome to North Island, the most exclusive island in the Seychelles archipelago, and vacationing here is truly a luxury experience. They have everything a person might want for a pleasant holiday here: tropical rainforests, granite cliffs, private beaches, and bathing in the 25-degree mild sea. Most importantly, the resort features only 11 magnificent villas, ensuring that you will have plenty of privacy.
“Relax in a Personalized Luxury Atmosphere Close to Nature.”
Four lovely sandy beaches, blue oceans, and lush green foliage adorn this exclusive and exotic private island. Without a doubt, the deluxe villas offer the most comfort and solitude.
The 210-hectare island strikes the ideal mix between the natural beauty of a tropical island and the comforts of modern life. However, the palm tree, which was originally a coconut farm, is still afforded a lot of room and respect today. Overall, enjoy a one-of-a-kind stay on “North Island” that combines ecological with sheer luxury.
The qualities that make North Island a true dream are paradise, isolation, naturalness, and unspoiled. Certainly, the mix of an unspoiled environment with contemporaneous civilisation in the midst of luxury is probably unique in this form around the world.
What we like:
- There are no butlers; instead, a villa attendant acts as a knowledgable concierge, taking note of your preferences and making recommendations.
- Children under the age of 17 are admitted for free.
- Although the rates appear to be exorbitant, consider what they cover: almost everything. The reserve wine selection, full-day fishing expeditions, and bespoke spa treatments are the only extra costs.
- The barefoot luxury resort’s footprint barely interferes with the island’s amazing nature.
Villas
Beachfront Villas (Villas 1-10)
Ten large Beachfront Villas (450 m2) are situated on one of North Island’s most beautiful natural beaches. You have a living and dining area, a huge terrace with a private pool, a kitchen, and a second pavilion for children and teenagers that is slightly off the usual path. The pavilion can also be used as a workplace.
A master bedroom and a second room that can be used as an office or living area are included in every seaside home. The master bedroom, which is quite large, features a dressing room and an office, as well as a large bathroom with a marble bathtub and two showers (one inside and one outdoor).
All of the rooms feature ceiling fans and are air-conditioned. Large bay windows provide an unrestricted view of the surrounding nature and the Indian Ocean.
The Beachfront Villas are situated on the eastern end of the beach. In addition, it’s a great spot to watch the sunrise.
To create an artistic totality, Seychelles and African construction traditions have been combined with unparalleled luxury. On the southeast shore of the island, all villas are positioned at a large distance from one another, whenever visually protected by tropical flora. Furthermore, the villas are equipped with all of the technological amenities found in today’s leading hotels.

Villa North Island (Villa 11)
The “Villa North Island” is nestled in the jungle at the north end of the beach and offers breathtaking views of the beach from the living and sleeping rooms, many levels of terraces, and the entertainment pavilion. It is, of course, ideal for honeymooners and can accommodate up to two individuals. Furthermore, with a total area of about 800 m2, it is significantly larger than the 10 “Beachfront Villas.”
Finally, Home North Island, often known as “Villa # 11,” is the most magnificent villa on North Island. Perched atop a ledge in the Takamaka forest, on the far north side of Anse d’Est (east beach). The property has a magnificent view of the Indian Ocean. Even so, it’s a great spot to watch the sunrise.
An unexpected entry, exquisite palm trees creating an idyllic natural backdrop overlooking the beach, and a bridge built of casuarina trunks leading to the Suite.
The bathroom has a panoramic view of the Cove, with the islands of Mahé, Praslin, and La Digue visible in the distance. A handcrafted stairway will bring you from the bathroom to a sunken terrace with an outdoor shower “suspended” in a big granite rock.
You’ll be amazed to find the fantastic “Spa Al Fresco” just a few steps from the outdoor shower: an outdoor patio with massage beds overlooking the Indian Ocean. Nonetheless, in the heart of your Villa, a genuine Spa experience.

Villas Facilities
Satellite television, a DVD/CD player, and Internet connection are available in the villas. A living/dining room connects the kitchen. A private pool and’salsa’ are the finishing touches to this private retreat, it should be noted.
Ecological Villas
Ecological villas are built using natural materials and have a conservation-focused design. As a result, they ensure that all materials, including many of the products used in the kitchen, are sourced directly from the island. Recycling and environmental stewardship are important goals. Vacationers on North Island, for example, not only accomplish something nice for themselves, but also contribute to the island’s transformation into a “Noah’s Ark” for people and animals.
They aren’t just the ones that maintain the place clean and offer the greatest service. As a result, they are also the critical link that connects the island, guests, and investors, according to the company’s management. Such a high level of regard for employees and the environment is far from standard.
Restaurants & Bars
The cuisine of the North Island hotel is influenced by Seychelles’ many cultural traditions. Finally, it’s a mix of flavors from Africa, France, South India, and Southeast Asia, as well as fresh island fruit.
There is no menu! The chef will be delighted to learn about your preferences and cook according to them, based on the information you provide. To put it another way, you’ll have unforgettable gastronomic experiences every day, much to your taste senses’ joy!
Those who choose to eat outside their villa can do so at the main restaurant on the beach or at the open-air “West Beach Bar” on the island’s west shore. In addition, guests can have lunch on the beach or while being surrounded by a magnificent environment.
Piazza Restaurant
The perfect environment for evening dates with superb gastronomic delights, lit by candlelight, surrounded by the sound of the water, and overlooking wonderfully gorgeous sunsets. The chefs allow themselves to be inspired by the season while producing the dishes; what the island and the surrounding area have to offer at the time is put on the plate. However, there is a lot of seafood, as well as meals from all over the world.
- Open for: Breakfast, Brunch, Lunch, Dinner, Cocktail hour
- Menu: À la carte
West Beach Bar
Enjoy the sunset while sipping a freshly prepared mojito and burying your feet in the sand of the beach while waiting for the tapas-style barbecue food to arrive. Overall, that’s about how you’d picture an evening at the West Beach Bar. The fruits for your cocktail, in particular, were cultivated on the island.
- Open for: Lunch, Dinner, Cocktail hour
- Menu: À la carte
In-Villa Dining
If you don’t want to leave your villa because it is simply too beautiful, you can eat there as well. For example, you can choose from a large menu of mostly local dishes – go for it and get to know Seychelles from a culinary standpoint!
Wellness &Spa
The spa is situated on a little incline, surrounded by spectacular granite cliffs, and provides breathtaking views of the blue ocean and nearby islands. In the generally rustic and natural ambiance of our resort, you will find a refuge of tranquility all of a sudden.
Relax, rejuvenate, rehydrate, detoxify, and simply take it all in.
The treatment most relevant to your preferences and needs will be selected during an interview during the famed barefoot ritual that will open you up to the island way of life.
The therapy pavilions offer a variety of treatments. Relaxing baths, manicures, and pedicures, facials, invigorating and renewing cleanses, body wraps, and a variety of massages are among the services available. Plant elements from the island and cosmetic goods from “Subtle Energies” are employed in treatments, for example, as part of the island’s ecological conservation program.
Ayurvedic concepts and aromatherapy are used to create the items. Massages are, of course, provided in the seclusion of your villa. The yoga platform, however, is located near the spa and is the ideal place to balance your body’s energy centers and start the day in fine shape.

Island & History
North Island, a short distance north of Silhouette, is one of two islands visible from Beau-Vallon, Mahé’s famous and picturesque beach. North Island, which occupies 205 hectares and was discovered in 1609, was one of the first islands in Seychelles to be studied. It is one of Seychelles’ few granite and steep islands.
Before the building, at the initiative of Wilderness Safaris, of a 5-star hotel, the North Island Seychelles, which opened in 2003, the local inhabitants lived mostly from agriculture and fishing on this fertile island area of Seychelles. Through outstanding quality lodging in the center of a biodiversity-rich environment, this luxury hotel is positioned as a true advocate of ecotourism and high-end tourism in Seychelles.
In 2019, the firm chose to part ways with its original owners and management company, Wilderness Safaris, and join the Marriot Hotel Group.
Endemic and Endangered Wildlife
This island is a haven for endemic and endangered wildlife, as well as visitors looking for a piece of paradise where their well-being will be taken care of holistically, ensuring a genuine and romantic experience from the time they arrive.
The North Island’s beautiful white sandy beaches, thick jungle, and swaying palms offer an unrivaled fantasy spot for the ultimate honeymoon or family getaway, nestled in a bowl formed by three granite spires.
Grand Paloss, the tallest of the three hills, stands at 180 meters. The island is a wonderful haven for wildlife. Several native bird species have taken up residence here, including the world’s rarest robin, the black flycatcher, and the Seychelles warbler.
Land and marine turtles were among the first inhabitants of the island, arriving long before man. For nearly 150 years, the former has been walking the island all day! Some of them enjoy being handled and are grateful to be fed. If you’re lucky, you might catch a glimpse of a sea turtle nesting on the beach.
A recent environmental conservation initiative named “Noah’s Ark” has also benefited the island. The goal is to restore the originality of the island’s ecology by reintroducing endemic and endangered species of wildlife and flora to Seychelles.
Protection of Nature
The “North Island” establishment is committed to environmental protection on a moral level. Without a doubt, Seychelles is a truly fertile paradise that provides the ideal framework for a unique program of environmental conservation and sanitation on the island.
During your discovery tour of North Island, you will be astounded by the natural beauty of the island and deeply moved. When you see how well the land is cared for, as well as the endemic flora and animals, you’ll understand why.
The hotel complex’s “barefoot” idea encourages you to become more aware of natural behaviors and senses. As a result, “North Island” is looking for ways to lessen our ecological effect on the environment. It’s shocking to realize that every single piece of plastic ever made is still on the planet.
Because billions of plastic straws are used for a few minutes before being discarded every day, polluting our precious oceans. As a result, the usage of plastic straws on North Island has been prohibited. Finally, all straws and containers are 100 percent biodegradable. As a result, the island is one step closer to eliminating plastic, and this is the latest in a series of attempts to protect the waters.
