Our Expert’s Highlights
Welcome to the Acajou Beach Resort located immediately on the gorgeous white Cote d’Or beach in the northeast of the island of Praslin. The resort, hidden in a lovely tropical garden, is a place of balance: here you may be in peace with yourself and nature.
At the beginning of 2015, the Acajou Beach Resort was completely refurbished and enlarged – in the process, the originally mahogany accommodation was partly blended with white walls, whereas the new accommodation units were built in a modern, light design.
The little and extremely pleasant hotel offers a total of 46 rooms and 6 flats situated in a gorgeous garden. As a Green Hotel, the locally operated business is committed to sustainability and environmental protection and is a shining example in the field of photovoltaics and trash disposal.
The proprietors also focus significant emphasis on promoting and maintaining Seychelles’ Creole culture and values, thereby offering guests a very authentic experience.
The affordable Acajou Beach Resort is on the same island as the Indian Ocean Lodge and Dhevatara Beach Hotel.

Restaurants & Bars
Les Boucaniers Restaurant serves authentic, excellent cuisine. Similar to the veranda of a traditional plantation house, the restaurant offers a charming atmosphere for a meal. With its notion of French-style cooking employing ingredients and flavours of the Indian Ocean rim, Les Boucaniers mirrors the islands’ past as a crossroads for explorers, pirates, and traders from a range of cultures, each imparting their own impact on the islands.
Just like the porch of a classic plantation house, Les Boucaniers offers an intimate eating ambiance enveloped in Creole flare and rustic charm.
The restaurant consequently derives its name from the rock formations in the sea that lie just in front of the resort, which was nicknamed “The Buccaneers” or Les Boucaniers in French, in acknowledgment of this intriguing history and the ambience we’ve sought to create.
Les Boucaniers is housed on the resort’s main concourse, featuring a complete American buffet breakfast every morning, and dinner service every evening. The restaurant is closed for lunch.
Several times a week, local artists and entertainers present live entertainment in the restaurant.
Open daily for breakfast from 07.30 to 10.00
Open daily for dinner from 19.30 to 21.3
Starfish Pool Bar & Restaurant bistro overlooks the beach and also serves drinks and snacks all day in a casual atmosphere. The menu at Starfish blends a great assortment of worldwide bistro classics, including appetizers, salads, and sandwiches, as well as traditional Creole specialities of fresh grilled fish and a variety of curries, among them our renowned signature dish of octopus curry with coconut milk.
During your stay, you can sample the local specialties at your leisure. Visit the Starfish Bar & Restaurant for casual dining in an exclusive atmosphere. In the evening, the Bar & Lounge awaits you for afternoon tea or an aperitif in a cosy atmosphere.
Join us in the bar to cool down from the island heat, with always-cold soft drinks and beers, or delicious cocktails created with fresh fruit gathered on-site at the hotel.

Chapo! Bar & Lounge whether for afternoon tea or an evening aperitif, for people from around the world to share company, conversation.
Adjacent to the reception in the main concourse, Chapo! Bar & Lounge is open all day and typically acts as the evening meeting spot to unwind with an aperitif before dinner. The pub was well renowned for the Creole-style hats that decorated the wall over the bar, and that tradition continues today, with hats from around the world on display. The venue also provides live music several times a week.
Occasions for Special Dining. We’d be glad to help you add that extra touch to a unique dining experience, whether it’s a candle-lit supper by our relaxing garden fountain, a romantic picnic or table setting on the beach, or simply having a special breakfast brought in for you to enjoy in the solitude of your room’s balcony. Discover Praslin Island
Praslin is Seychelles’ second-largest island, located 40 kilometers east of Mahé. It was named after Gabriel de Choiseul, Duke of Praslin, who conducted an expedition there in 1768. It was discovered by Lazare Picault in 1744. This island’s original charm will delight nature lovers and vacationers seeking peace and quiet since it is known for its magnificent waters and outrageously gorgeous natural features.
A journey to Praslin involves visiting some of the world’s most magnificent beaches. The iconic beach of Anse Lazio, located in the northwest of the island, features white sand scattered with granite rocks on the edge of the blue sea excellent for swimming and snorkeling.
